A teen charged with DWI after an accident that killed a pedestrian in Wilmington now faces more serious charges.
Wilmington Police charged 19-year-old Jackson Davies with felony death by motor vehicle in the accident that left 22 year-old Cory Reese dead.
That accident happened last Sunday on Rose Avenue.
Investigators say Davies hit Reese with his car, then hit a tree and utility pole.
Reese was a US Marine stationed at Camp Lejeune.
Davies was also injured in the wreck. He was arrested after his release from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He is now out of jail on a $50,000 secured bond.
