Jury selection begins this morning in the trial of a man accused of killing a woman found dead in the trunk of her burning car.
Valerie Ann Burns of Leland died in July of 2008.
Authorities say Carl Henry Alston kidnapped, raped and killed her.
They have not said what led up to the murder.
The state is seeking the death penalty.
