The city council will finally get closer to a vote next week on a deal to allow a hotel to be built beside the Wilmington Convention Center.
The city has been negotiating since 2007 to have an upscale, full-service hotel built on the riverfront.
Plans call for Harmony Hospitality to build a 186-room hotel that would include a restaurant and meeting space.
Leaders say they have worked out legal challenges over the land's value--and the council may vote on the matter next Tuesday.
The city council meets at 6:30pm at City Hall.
