Wilmington Police will help sponsor a gun buy-back event next month in honor of two young victims shot to death.
Folks will be given gift cards for working weapons, including $100 Visa cards for handguns and $200 Visa cards for assault weapons.
Police say residents can turn in the weapons without any questions being asked about where or how they obtained them.
The August 24th buy-back event will be in honor of Josh Proutey and Demetrius Greene.
The 19-year-old Proutey was shot and killed in a robbery December 13th.
Eight-year-old Demetrius Green died after being caught in a shootout at a public housing complex in 1997.
