Wilmington Police are investigating a spate of home burglaries near downtown.
It appears at least some of them could be related.
The first call came in around 10am Thursday from a home on Barnard Drive. Police believe the house alarm scared off the suspect, and nothing was taken.
At around 10:30am, a burglary was reported on Chestnut Street. Investigators say a sliding glass door was broken and electronics were stolen.
Less than an hour later, another resident on Chestnut Street reported a lawnmower was taken from his shed.
At around 2pm Thursday, another home burglary was reported on Clay Street.
