A man drowned after being caught in a rip current at Holden Beach yesterday.
The 57-year-old man was swimming with his wife and 2 adult children when all four family members were caught in a rip current and had to be rescued.
All four were transported to the hospital. The father is the only one who died.
There's no word on the condition of the other family members.
The rip current risk remains high today for all Brunswick County beaches.
