New Hanover County Commissioners will hold onto Wrightsboro Park, despite a recommendation from the county parks department to sell the property.
County commissioners made the decision last night.
Still, money set aside to develop the park--about $420,000--will have to go to other recreation projects for now.
Commissioners voted to focus on the development of Northern Regional Park.
Those plans include more all-purpose ball fields and trails for walking and mountain bike riding.
