A Pender County Sheriff's Deputy is out of a job after an accident in which he was charged with DWI.
The highway patrol is investigating the accident--which happened on U-S 17 in Onslow County.
In addition to DW-, Deputy William Paluck was charged with reckless driving and failure to reduce speed to avoid another vehicle.
