CBS's New Fall Line Up Rocks!

A couple of weeks ago I was fortunate to go to New York City to see the new CBS Upfront Presentation. The “Upfront Presentations” are where the big networks showcase their new fall prime time programming for the affiliates and the advertising buying agencies… and I have to say I think once again CBS Rocks!   As you may know, CBS is the most watched network in the country and as such they did not need to add too many new shows to an already successful prime time schedule.   I’m not just saying that because I work here… I truly believe in this network.  So needless to say, I’m proud to be a part of a CBS affiliate.

Beginning in mid September there will be two new comedies and three new dramas and I love them all.  The two new comedies are “Two Broke Girls” which will air Monday’s at 8:30pm and “How to be a Gentleman” which will air Thursday nights at 8:30pm.

Three new dramas will be added this year. “Unforgettable” Tuesday nights at 10pm, “Person of Interest” Thursday nights at 9pm and “A Gifted Man” Friday nights at 8pm.

The “cut down” demos (usually less than five minutes) we saw of all of these shows looked to be winners to me.  I think if I had to choose favorites, I’d say “Two Broke Girls” will be huge, while I believe “How to be a Gentleman” will do very well and both will find a permanent home on CBS.

“Unforgettable”, “Person of Interest” and “A Gifted Man” all have compelling gripping story lines yet all different from each other… I can’t seem pick a favorite just yet.   They are all so different but all have me hooked and I know I want to see more.

To see the demos we saw in NY, go to http://www.cbs.com/ and click on “shows”.

If you’d like to see where all show will air on the prime time program grid for the fall go to http://www.cbs.com/primetime/fall_preview_2011/.

Until next time…
