Smith pleads guilty; will spend up to 16 years in prison
9/3/14–The surviving suspect in the armed robbery of a Wilmington Pizza Hut will serve between 12 and 16 years in prison.
Jalani Smith entered a guilty a plea yesterday.
Prosecutors say Smith, along with Tevin Robinson and Ronald Roland, attempted to rob the restaurant last October.
Instead–there was a confrontation with Wilmington Police–and Robinson and Roland were shot and killed.
An investigation found the officers acted properly.
Wilmington Police say the three men were suspects in other restaurant robberies in the area.
