The Town of Sunset Beach has called a special meeting to discuss beach safety after recent drownings in rip currents.
Four people died the week of July 4th---two at Sunset Beach, one at Holden and one at Ocean Isle Beach.
Some are calling for those towns to do more to make swimmers aware of dangerous conditions.
Right now--Brunswick County beaches do not have lifeguards--nor do they have a flag warning system in place to alert swimmers.
The meeting is set for Monday at 3 p-m at Sunset Beach Town Hall.
