A Surf City motel fire is now being called suspicious.
High winds helped fuel the fire at Tiffany's on North New River Drive.
Fire investigators say a person inside the motel left to go to an A-T-M... leaving another person behind in the room.
They say that's when the fire started.
One person was treated for burns.
