WIlmington man charged with human trafficking
A Wilmington man is in jail–charged with human trafficking, possibly involving a minor.
19-year-old Drequan Dugar was arrested after a four day investigating by the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say they connected Dugar to a website ad offering adult services performed by a minor.
The investigation began because of a tip called in to “A Safe Place”, which is a hotline for folks to call with information about sexual exploitation.
Dugar was due to make his first court appearance Wednesday afternoon.
