Work begins on historic clock tower
Work has begun to renovate the clock tower atop the historic New Hanover County courthouse.
The $110,000 project is expected to take up to four months to complete.
It includes updates to the clock tower balcony’s handrails, columns and moldings.
The work is being done by Harp Builders Inc. out of Wilmington.
The clock tower as part of the courthouse, was built in 1892.
